Most privacy policies are an apology written in advance. Ours is short because the product was designed so there is very little to apologize for: no cameras by architecture, on-device processing by default, and a data inventory small enough to list on one page. This policy covers the ED1TH website, reservation checkout, account and email systems, glasses, and connected services.
“We” is Datost Inc., doing business as ED1TH. We collect what's needed to reserve and sell you glasses and run your enabled services: contact details, payment and queue status, account and consent choices, device health, and the minimum service traffic an enabled feature requires. Stripe handles card details. We never see through your eyes — the hardware can't. We don't sell data, run ads, or build advertising profiles.
If a future feature ever needs more than this page describes, it will arrive off by default, behind consent written in sentences this length.
Account & reservation. Email, reservation payment status, queue record, selected colorway, prescription interest, account preferences, and optional Dispatch consent. Stripe handles the card number; it never reaches our application.
Purchase. Name, shipping address, and a prescription when you order prescription lenses. The prescription is used to make the lenses and then retained only for warranty remakes. The current $50 reservation checkout does not collect shipping or prescription details.
Device. Serial number, firmware version, battery health, and crash reports. Crash reports are scrubbed of content before they leave the device.
Service traffic. When a subscribed feature needs the network, such as mail triage or translation, the request is processed and discarded. Content is not retained after the response is delivered and is never used to train models.
Site. Standard server logs, the email you submit for an account or the Dispatch, payment status, and first-party cookies needed for sign-in and reservation state. No third-party advertising trackers or advertising profiles.
Email choices. Account and checkout messages are operational. The Dispatch is optional, requires double opt-in, and uses one consent record whether you subscribe from the footer or your account. Withdrawing consent keeps a suppression record so the address is not accidentally re-added.
Images. There is no camera. This isn't a policy that could quietly change with an update — it's the absence of a sensor. Zero cameras, zero images, zero exceptions.
Ambient audio. The microphones listen for your wake word on-device, in a buffer that never leaves the glasses. We don't stream, sample, or “improve our service” with the sound of your life.
Location history.Navigation runs against your phone's location and stays there. We don't keep a trail of where your face has been.
The AI of ED1TH-OS runs on the glasses. What it reads to help you — your mail, your calendar, the name you always forget — is processed in memory on hardware you own. Network round-trips happen only for features that cannot physically run on 25 grams, are labeled in the OS when they do, and carry content that is discarded after the response.
Account data lives while your account does. To request deletion, email privacy@ed1th.com. We verify the requester, delete the account data we control, and confirm when the request is complete. Records that law requires us to retain, such as invoices, remain only for the required period.
Wherever you live, we extend the strongest of GDPR and CCPA to you: access, correction, export, deletion, and objection. Email privacy@ed1th.com . We verify the requester, and a person answers within 30 days, usually much faster.
We don't discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. The glasses work the same either way.
ED1TH is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age where you live), and we don't knowingly collect their data. If a child has reserved a pair with someone's card, write to us and we'll refund and delete, except for records the law requires us to retain.
If this policy changes materially, reservation holders and subscribers get an email before it takes effect — a diff, not a vibe. The date at the top reflects the current version. We will never weaken the camera section because a software update cannot add a sensor the hardware does not contain.
